Better than Crate & Barrel

I was shopping at CB2 for a bookcase and saw this online for half the price. The LED lighting is actually better than what I saw at CB2 — warmer and more even. The scalloped door detail is unique and the modular split option is something no other brand offers. Looks like a $1000 piece.

Gorgeous but needs wall anchor

Beautiful bookcase — the LED lighting and scalloped doors are stunning. Assembly took about two hours. The open shelves are deep enough for large coffee table books. Only complaint is it definitely needs the wall anchor at 78 inches tall. Felt tippy before I secured it. Otherwise excellent.

Home office upgrade

This bookcase turned my spare room into a proper office. LED-lit shelves hold my reference books and the lower cabinet hides my printer supplies. Soft-close hinges on the cabinet doors are a nice touch. The modular design means I can add the shoe bench later for a reading nook. Very impressed.

Display cabinet goals

The LED lighting transforms this from a plain bookcase into a display showcase. I have my ceramics and plants on the open shelves and they look professionally lit. The scalloped doors on the lower cabinet hide less attractive storage. Adjustable shelves let me customize for tall items. Stunning piece.

Split into two pieces

Bought this as a tall bookcase but ended up separating the modules — open bookshelf in the bedroom, cabinet in the hallway. That's the FlexMod magic. The LED on the open shelves creates a warm glow at night. Copper handles tie everything together. Best furniture purchase I've made this year.
