Shipping policy
WHERE DO YOU SHIP TO?
ModernMate ships all products from our U.S. warehouse, and we currently ship to the following states: California, Florida, Texas, New York, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Georgia, Massachusetts, Illinois, Ohio, New Jersey, Michigan, Colorado, Virginia, Washington, Arizona, Tennessee, Minnesota, Maryland, South Carolina, Indiana, Missouri, Alabama, Wisconsin, Oregon. Due to safety and shipping restrictions, we also do not deliver to PO Boxes, Parcel Lockers, or APO/FPO addresses.
HOW WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED? WILL IT BE SHIPPED SEPARATELY?
We use a variety of carriers, including FedEx, UPS, or Pilot, depending on the size and type of the items. For more efficient shipping, your order may be split into multiple shipments, which could result in slightly different delivery times.
WHAT DELIVERY OPTIONS DO YOU OFFER, AND ARE THERE ANY FEES?
We currently offer Standard Delivery, which delivers items to the front door of your house or the lobby of your apartment building. Please note that Standard Delivery does not include in-home placement or installation. This service is completely free of charge. However, if you choose to return an item, the return shipping fee will be the customer’s responsibility.
HOW SOON WILL MY ORDER ARRIVE?
Most orders will arrive within 3–7 business days, depending on inventory location, shipping distance, and holiday schedules. If a product has a specific shipping date, it will be noted on the product page. In the event of unforeseen delays, such as weather-related issues, your order may take longer, but we will work quickly to process your order as soon as possible.
After you place an order, you’ll receive an order confirmation email with your order details. Once your items are shipped, we’ll send you a shipping confirmation email with the tracking number for your packages. You can track your shipment directly on the carrier’s website.
CAN I CHANGE MY SHIPPING ADDRESS?
If your order hasn’t shipped yet, you can contact our customer service team to change your shipping address. Once the order has shipped, any address changes will incur additional fees, which will be the customer’s responsibility (please refer to our Return Policy for details). We recommend requesting any changes as early as possible.
DO I NEED TO SIGN FOR MY DELIVERY? WHAT SHOULD I CHECK WHEN MY ITEMS ARRIVE?
Our delivery service does not require a signature upon receipt. We strongly recommend checking your items carefully upon delivery. If you notice any damage, loss, or errors, please contact us within 3 business days via email at support@modernmate.net, and we’ll be happy to assist you. Additionally, please keep the original packaging for at least 30 days, as it’s required for returns.
WHAT IF MY ITEMS IS DAMAGED?
We have complete confidence in the quality of our products and are committed to your satisfaction. If you find any damage or defects upon receiving your item, please contact us within 3 business days with photos or other proof. If we don’t hear from you within 3 business days, we will consider the item as accepted in good condition and cannot process any claims for damage caused by the customer after delivery.
WHAT IF DELIVERY FAILS DUE TO ITEM SIZE?
We recommend measuring doorways, elevators, and other entry points to ensure that the furniture will fit. We are not responsible for return shipping fees or return liabilities in the case of failed delivery due to incorrect size measurements or if the customer is unavailable to receive the delivery at the scheduled time.
