The table is heavy, and the top may not align perfectly, but if you're not a perfectionist, it should be perfectly acceptable. As for the thickness of the boards, honestly, the tabletop is really thick; I weigh 135 pounds (about 61 kg) and can sit on it. Once assembled, it looks fantastic. I must say, it's really sturdy and durable. You'll have a high-quality table that you assembled yourself, although it may not be perfect. I also really like its length. The only downside is that there was too much foam in the packaging, and foam tends to generate static electricity. However, the packaging was indeed very sturdy.
