The end product looks great. Instructions were not the best, so if you order, this may help you avoid what I ran into...
There's a step that is completely skipped when you assemble the metal platform.. There's no mention of where the holes need to be when putting the two Q pieces onto M and Y and if you' start the process on your own and get a little tired, like I did, you may not notice and have to undo some things. Just be sure to look ahead and check the next few steps to see which way the single holes go and which way the doubles go.
The very first step as well...be SURE to only tighten the screws 70% so you can easily put the headboard screws in and then tighten those first screws all the way.
And although you may be able to put most of it together by yourself, you will absolutely need another person for some of the last steps when attaching the platform to the hydraulics....simply because it's just too difficult to support the platform without help AND the hinge joint is directly in line with where the screw closest to the headboard goes in, making it is extremely difficult to get that screw to go in straight, so it should be put in first on both sides, then move on to the middle and then the other end. There's a good possibility of stripping that screw, because that hinge is in the way and getting it straight will be a challenge.
If those issues could be addressed in the directions and the build details, this whole experience would be a 5, all the way.
The shipping was so fast, I was amazed! I'm so glad I found this site and this bed. It is perfect for the space I needed it in and even with the issues I ran into, I love it.
